Molly Anderson

Funeral service for Molly Hudson Tyler Anderson, 82, Blaine, formerly of Anoka, will take place Sunday, April 3, 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Revs. Timothy Johnson and Norman R. Berg will officiate.

Anderson died?March 3 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids. She was born Feb. 26, 1923 in San Bernardino, Calif., to Don Charles and Edith (West) Tyler. She was a piano teacher and choir member, soloist and accompanist at Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Anderson; children, Darrell (Gail Shackel) of Bainbridge Island, Wash., Milton (Bev) of Edmonds, Wash., Laurel and Holly Anderson, both of the Anoka area; and grandchildren, Steven and Tyler Anderson and Kelsey Shackel-Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Elsie Anne Roddick.

Interment will be at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Matthew Bourdeaux

Funeral service for Matthew Jack Bourdeaux, 28, Stacy, took place March 30 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Donald Pfotenhauer officiated.

Bourdeaux died in a car accident March 26 in Stacy. He was born April 13, 1976 in Stacy to Jack LeRoy and Dianne Marie (Barnes) Bourdeaux and was a carpenter.

He is survived by his parents, Jack and Dianne; brother, Marc; sister, Monique (Craig) Colburn; nieces and nephews, Luke, Lance, Jack and Ashley; grandparents, Colette Bourdeaux (Bob Horne), Thomas Barnes; many aunts and uncles; and others relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman Bourdeaux and Doris Barnes.

Pallbearers were Marc and Steven Bourdeaux, Benjamin Taylor, Jeffrey Noon, and James and John Zirngible. Honorary pallbearers were Gabriel Strobel, Nicholas Taylor, Greg Jensen and Craig Colburn.

Interment was at Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Elfrieda Clark

Funeral service for Elfrieda Herrmann Clark, 90, Coon Rapids, took place March 23 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids.

Clark died March 19.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Nicewarner; daughter, Sharon (James) Marsolais; grandchildren, Brigitte (Todd) Smith, Darlene (Jason) Backes and Christine (James) Shey; six great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Johnson; brother, Russell Herrmann; and many nieces and nephews.

Interment was at North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Ruby Ellis

Funeral service for Ruby B. Ellis, 87, Coon Rapids, will take place April 3 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids.

Ellis died March 20 in Coon Rapids. She was born May 19, 1917 in Los Angeles, Calif., to J. and Ida Gilmore and was a retired waitress.

She is survived by her daughters, Ella Mae Olsen and Susan (Edward) Lashinski; grandchildren, Sherry, Wayne, Sheryl, Nancy and Sharlene; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Phillip, Tony, Scott, Alex, Derek, Tim and Tiffany.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Connie; and great-grandson, Peter.

Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Virgil Hanson

Funeral service for Virgil Martelle Hanson, 83, Rush City, took place March 21 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rush City. Rev. Laurie O'Shea officiated.

Hanson died March 17 at the Lakeside Medical Center, Pine City. He was born on Aug. 4, 1921 in Hartford, S.D., to Henry T. and Hazel (Mathison) Hanson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Vada; sons, Robert and his wife Natalie of Elk River and Joel and his wife Debra of Little Canada; daughter, Julie and her husband Quang Nguyen of Ramsey; eight grandchildren; two great-grand children; brother, Donald and his wife Diane of Duluth; sisters-in-law, Myrna Hanson of Rush City, Lorraine (Ray) Carlson of Minneapolis, and Lois Hanson of Estherville, Iowa; brother-in-law, Wayne Duncan of Ceylon; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Inez Engler of Rush City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marian and Eldora; brothers, Kermit, Glenn and Therman; and infant daughter, Mary Jane.

Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Pamela Hoekstra, David, Joshua and Jacob Hanson, Stephanie Albert and Mariel, Alyssa and Emily Nguyen.

Interment was at First Lutheran Cemetery in Rush City. Arrangements were by the Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City - Olson Chapel.

Charlotte Hector

Funeral service for Charlotte Mary Hector, 83, Anoka, took place March 22 at Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church. Rev. Dean Johnson officiated.

Hector died March 18 at her home. She was born May 5, 1921 in Regent, N.D., to Sam Omdahl and Esther Borgeson and was a teacher for 40 years.

She is survived by her children, Mona, Vance (Gaby), Darcy (Soong), Steve (Linda); grandsons, Alex and Corey; sisters, Doris and Joanne; cousin, Myrtle Eveland; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; sister, Beaulah; and brother, Ted.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.

Joseph Houser

Funeral service for Joseph Gregory Houser, 57, Champlin, took place March 21 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Mike Van Sloun officiated.

Houser died March 17 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis. He was born Aug. 27, 1947 in Ida Grove, Iowa, to Joseph Clement and Verleitta Elaine (Oehlertz) Houser and was a loss prevention officer at Kmart. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2018 and ushered at St. Stephen's for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Norene; children, Catherine (Duane) Hall and Jason; grandson, Mitchell Hall; mother, Verleitta Houser; brothers, Timothy (Shelley) and Michael; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. Houser; and grandparents, Fritz and Elsie Oehlertz and Arthur and Catherine Houser.

Pallbearers were Justin, Sabrina, Katrina, Sarah, Kallie and Holly Van De Venter and Michelle and Chris Houser.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

James Juneau

Funeral service for James Edward Juneau, 65, Coon Rapids, took place March 18 at Church of St. Patrick of Cedar Creek. Rev. Rick A. Banker officiated.

Juneau died March 14 at his home. He was born May 23, 1939 in Duluth to Edward Joseph and Antoinette (Reopelle) Juneau and was a land surveyor.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; children, Darwin, Sue Juneau (Tom Nelson), Jolene Juneau (Steve Fluegel) and Tim (Gretchen); grandsons, Thomas, Stephen, Michael and Matthew Juneau; brothers, Terry,?Mark and Jeff; sisters, Leose and Mary Juneau; and many other family and friends.

Pallbearers were Thomas and Bill Juneau, Bob Faust, Greg Kummer, Jerod Nelson and Mark Thorson. Honorary pallbearers were Michael, Matthew and Stephen Nelson Juneau.

Interment was at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Oak Grove. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Christina Kern

Funeral service for Christina Ann Kern, 17, Andover, took place March 30 at Andover High School. Chaplain Bill Schimmelman officiated.

Kern died March 23 in Ham Lake. She was born Dec. 27, 1987 in St. Paul to William Clarence and Eileen Marie (Kratochvil) Kern. She was a student at Andover High School, where she was a member of the girls' hockey and lacrosse teams and a violinist in the high school orchestra.

She is survived by her parents, Bill and Eileen Kern; sister, Katie and brother Bobby; grandparents, Eugene and Jeanette Kern of Maplewood, Adeline Kratochvil of Roseville; great-grandmother, Julia Wellington of Onamia; uncles and aunts, Donald (Nancy) Kern of Scandia, Cindy (Artie) Irons and Al (Sandy)?Kern, all of Chisago, Connie (Sue) Tessmer of Roseville, Duane (Mary) Selander of South St. Paul, Beverly Selander of Maplewood, Marlene (Jack) Brodt and Robert (Sue) Selander, all of Roseville; and numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Kratochvil.

Verna Larson

Memorial service for Verna Larson, 92, Cambridge, formerly of Champlin, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, April 2), 11 a.m., at North Isanti Baptist Church. Rev. Jonathan Larson will officiate.

Larson died March 23. She was born July 7, 1912 in Isanti. She was employed by the state of Minnesota for 23 years.

She is survived by her children, Loran Jr. (Linda), Roger (Elaine), Corinne Provost, Shirley Watson (Richard), Carolyn Johansen (Stephen), Jeanne Cook and Janet Larson; daughter-in-law, Ginger Larson; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Beatrice Thunstrom (Maurice) and Joanne Gustafson; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; cousins; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Hulda Eastlund; husband, Loran; son, Wendell; son-in-law, Roger Provost; brothers, Maurice, Orley and Warren; and sisters, Doris, Almyra, Lenore and Phyllis.

Pallbearers will be Steve, David and Mitchell Larson, Stephen Johansen, James Cook and Seth Felt. Sheldon Lemke

Funeral service for Sheldon B. Lemke, 76, Zimmerman, took place March 23 at Zion Lutheran Church, Crown. Rev. Loel Wessel officiated.

Lemke died March 19 at the Cambridge Health Care Center He was born April 23, 1928 in Stanford Township to Rudolph and Louise (Hierlinger) Lemke. He was a farmer, carpenter and also worked as a custodian at the St. Francis High School from where he retired in 1993. He played amateur baseball in the Eastern Minny League.

He is survived by his children, Dixie Lemke of Zimmerman, Nadine and Jeff Ricke of Zimmerman, Bryan and wife Juli Lemke of Anoka, Leslie and wife Penny Lemke of Zimmerman, Dana and husband Mitch Coop of Zimmerman; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Melva and husband Martin Moore of Anoka; mother-in-law Myrtle Durow of Centuria, Wis.; brothers-in-law, Palmer Pederson and Bob Durow of Isanti; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Barb Christensen of Centuria, Wis.; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Harriet; brothers Marvin and Oren; and sisters, Lorna, Nona and Linda.

Pallbearers were Brad Lemke, Rick Moore, Randy Pederson, Fen Kuefler, Robert Durow and Raymond Christensen.

Betty McCallum

Funeral service for Betty Louise McCallum, 78, Burns Township, took place March 21 at Family of Christ Lutheran Church. Rev. Dennis Perryman officiated.

McCallum died March 19 at Mercy Hospital. She was born March 1, 1927 in Minneapolis to Donald James and Ruby Agnes (Nutter) Space.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Marie); daughter, Susan McCallum; grandchildren, Steve Wilson, Lonna Wilson and Jean (Matt) Hongel; great-grandchildren, Erin and Grace Hongel; sister, Janet (Karl) Ontko; brother, Jim Space; nieces and nephews; and many other friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud.

Pallbearers were Curt and Ryan Schuldt, Ron Sundeen, John Dennstedt and Scott and Shawn Rogers.

Alvin Michel

Memorial service for Alvin Louis Michel, 75, Anoka, took place March 21 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Chaplain Rex Beyer officiated.

Michel died March 17 at his home. He was born Aug. 29, 1929 in Mound to Edward Louis and Effie (Oelrich) Michel and was a retired utility supervisor for Northern States Power.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Jerry (Nancy) Michel of Washington, Kenneth (Janice) Michel of Ramsey, Randy Michel of Sandstone, Connie (Joel) Rother of Elk River; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Vincent Michel of Illinois, Steve (Sher) Michel of Colorado; sisters, Mary Imholte of Texas, Emily (Jim) Lunsford of Alabama, Dorthea (Greg) Gerads of Winona; and nieces and nephews.

Sharilyn Nugent

Funeral service for Sharilyn Fern Nugent, 41, Zimmerman, took place March 29 a St. John's Lutheran Church, Zimmerman.

Nugent died March 23. She was a daycare provider.

She is survived by her daughters, Sarah and Samantha; foster daughter, Hailey Hingos; parents, Marv (Linda) Lustig and Sharon (Jim) Peterson; brothers, Troy and Derek; nephews, Trevor and Corey; grandparents, Fern and Lewis Griese; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Olaf and Ruby Lustig; and baby son, Justin.

Joeann Ramacher

Memorial service for Joeann Ramacher, 80, Kihei, Maui, Hawaii, formerly of Anoka, will take place April 4 at St. Gerard's Church.

Ramacher died March 5 in Kihei. She was born Oct 8, 1921 in Jordan to Anna Ruppert and Joseph Maerz.

Audrey Ottem-Sheeley

Funeral service for Audrey Louise Ottem-Sheeley, 88, Ramsey, took place March 29 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Dean Wirz officiated.

Ottem-Sheeley died March 25 at Mercy Hospital. She was born June 16, 1916 in Chaska to August and Anna (Hahn) Schoenke and was a retired waitress.

She is survived by her children, Roger Ottem, Kathy (Tom) Hempel, Barbara Watkins, Valerie (Bud) De?Mulling; grandchildren, Cindi Wirz, Daniel Ottem, Stacy Reynolds, Jody Anderson, Heidi Lundeen, Scott Watkins, Tina Jodell, Jennifer Merkl, Christopher Merkl and Melodie DeMulling; 11 great-children; sisters,?Bernice Herzog,; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Maurice Ottem and Raymond Sheeley; three brothers; and four sisters.

Melvin Steman

Funeral service for Melvin William Steman, 71, Coon Rapids, took place March 24 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church. Rev. Ken Opat officiated.

Steman died March 20 in Coon Rapids. He was born Jan. 4, 1934 in Forest City to Neil and Alice Steman.

He is survived by his wife, June; daughters, Sue (Bryce) Adams, Julie (Bill) Cady, Patti Peters; grandchildren, Ben and Diane Adams, Chris and Heather Dinsmore, Evan Cady, Jennifer and Steven Peters; great-granddaughter, Sweetie (Jocelyn Marie); sisters, Alama (Arnie) Anderson, Mary Lou Blanchette; brother, Archie (Donna) Steman and Bob (Linnea) Steman; and mother-in-law, Myrtle Hoeft.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother.

Rose Stoll

Funeral service for Rose Stella Stoll, 91, Anoka, took place March 22 a Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Patrick Kennedy officiated.

Stoll died March 18 at her home. She was born Jan. 6, 1914 in French Lake to John Parent and Julia Menard.

She is survived by her sons, Robert J., Gary (Cathy), Dwane, Dale, Kenneth (Bonnie); daughter, Rosemary Myers; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr.; and two grandchildren.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.

Carter Tesch

Funeral service for Carter Samuel Tesch, 1 1/2 months, Fridley, took place March 25 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev,. Fred Tuma officiated.

He died March 20 in Fridley. He was born Jan. 27, 2005 in Coon Rapids to Chad Tesch and Stephanie Byrne.

He is survived by his parents, Chad Tesch and Stephanie Byrne; grandparents, Bob and Patty Flaws of Benson, Tom and Cheryl Vollhaber of Andover; great-grandmothers; and many family and friends.

Interment was at Epiphany Catholic Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Joan Wrzos

Funeral service for Joan M. Wrzos, 72, Coon Rapids, took place March 29 at Epiphany Catholic Church,?Coon Rapids. Rev. Patrick Kennedy officiated.

Wrzos died March 22 in?Coon Rapids. She was born May 5, 1932 in Minneapolis. She was retired from Medtronic.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond J.; sons, Raymond G. (Claudia), Mark D. and Thomas A (Linda); grandchildren, Blake, Audra, Andrew and Katarina; brothers, George Reiter Jr. (Judy) and Jerry Reiter (Judy); sisters, Patty Schoen and Kathy McCoy (Kenny); great aunt, Marguerite Neilsen; cousins, Donna Marie Kowalczyk; and other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen; sisters,?Virginia Moe, Helen Neilsen and baby girl Reiter.

Peter Youso

Memorial service for Peter J. Youso, 43, Anoka, took place Feb. 26 at Church of St. Stephen, Anoka.

He is survived by his mother, Donna; siblings, Michael (Julie), Paul, Jackie (Mark) Jensen; and nephews, Andy and David Youso.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Youso; and sister, Mary Jo Youso.
