It was a clean sweep for Spring Lake Park track and field at its home Don Fineran Invite May 3, as the Panther boys and girls both took the top spot out of nine teams. Event-winners for the SLP boys included Jamal Smith in the 100, Julian Christensen in the 200 and in the long jump, Luke Ferenbacher in the 400, Reilly Kopp in the 1,600, Brady Paulson in the 300 hurdles, and the 4x200 relay. Runners-up included David Mueller in the 3,200, Sebastian Santiago in the pole vault, the 4x100 relay, and the 4x400 relay. Event-winners for the SLP girls included Ellyana Prairie in the 300 hurdles and in the high jump, Nevaeh Coffer in the long jump, Arabella Sutch in the shot put, Tiffanie Huynh in the pole vault, the 4x100 relay, and the 4x200 relay. Runners-up included Coffer in the 100, Adde Rohrer in the 1,600, Prairie in the 100 hurdles, Anja Erickson in the triple jump, Genevieve Dabout in the shot put, Sutch in the discus, and the 4x800 relay

Coon Rapids hosted its home Coon Rapids Invitational May 3. Event-winners for the Cardinal boys included KhiJohnn Cummings-Coleman in the 100 and in the 200, Jerry Coleman in the 400, Sam Dennis in the shot put, Boluwatife Adeuga in the triple jump, Brayden Waldron in the long jump, the 4x100 relay, the 4x200 relay, and the 4x400 relay. Runners-up included Logan Barker in the pole vault, Devian Aluka in the long jump, Dennis in the discus, and Adeuga in the high jump. Coon Rapids’ Nyebol Jock swept the girls 100 and 300 hurdles, with the Cardinal girls’ 4x100 relay finishing as the runner-up. Columbia Heights’ Il m’aime Ntambwe won the girls triple jump.
