Hard work, dedication and plenty of time put in have all paid off for Blaine resident Jacob Taggart, who was recently awarded the Western Golf Association’s Chick Evans scholarship. The scholarship will give him a full ride to his selected college, and also bring with it the perks of being an Evans Scholar.

Taggart learned about the scholarship program from his cousin, a previous Evans Scholar and former President of the Minnesota Evans House. It inspired Taggart to follow in her footsteps.
