A pilot was uninjured after their "experimental" lightweight aircraft crashed Saturday, July 8, after it was forced to set down in a large holding pond on Interstate 35E in Lino Lakes.

According to the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department, Lino Lakes police and firefighters and Allina EMS responded after receiving reports of a an aircraft landing in a large holding pond on Interstate 35E near a residential area in Lino Lakes at approximately 8 p.m.
